The Institute of Parliamentary and Political Law

 

The Institute of Parliamentary and Political Law / Institut de droit parlementaire et politique (IPPL) is a corporation in the professional and educational fields, formed specifically for the purpose of developing Parliamentary and Political Law and disseminating knowledge about it.


Its work consists of generating and disseminating information about, and increasing public knowledge of, Public Law in its parliamentary and governmental contexts.

The activities and publications of the IPPL are:

  • Interdisciplinary
  • Comprehensive
  • Comparative;
  • Analytical, not engaging in advocacy;
  • Politically neutral and independent of political interests;
  • Bilingual; and
  • Bridging professional and academic pursuits.

The corporation is federally incorporated as a not-for profit.  It is registered as a charitable, tax-free organization with the Canada Revenue Agency.
