MATH 208 - Fundamental Mathematics I

Topics covered in this course include matrices, Gaussian elimination,input‑output analysis,progressions, compound interest,annuities, permutations and combinations, probability,exponential and logarithmic functions, inequalities, linear programming.

Prerequisite

Prerequisite: MATH 206 or equivalent.

NOTE: Students who have received credit or an exemption for a course at the level of ACTU256 or above; MAST218 or above; MATH251 or above; STAT249 or above; or for a course having any of these courses in its sequence of prerequisites, may not take this course for credit.

NOTE: Students in programs leading to the BSc degree or the BA programs in Mathematics and Statistics may not take this course for credit to be applied to their program of concentration.
